Maruti Suzuki was cruising on the bourses in the morning session on Friday on the back of its announcement that it had posted a 20 per cent increase in sales for July at 90,093 units.
At 11.30 am it was trading at ₹2,614.85. This represented a gain of 3.60 per cent on its previous close at ₹2,524.05.
Bharti Airtel rang in gains of 3.29 per cent at ₹385.15. The stock had closed the previous session at ₹372.90.
Hindustan Unilever was trading at ₹700.60, up 2.04 per cent on its overnight close at ₹686.60.
UltraTech Cement was quoting firm at ₹2,462.20 as against ₹2,420.85 at the close on Thursday. This represented a gain of 1.71 per cent.
BPCL made gains of 1.59 per cent at ₹589.40. The stock had closed the previous session at ₹580.15.
