BHEL was the top gainer on the BSE in the morning session on New Year’s Day. At 10.30 am the share was trading at Rs 268.05, up 1.07 per cent on its overnight close at Rs 265.20.
Cipla perked up 1.05 per cent to quote at Rs 632.35. The share had closed the previous session at Rs 625.80.
State Bank of India rode up 0.63 per cent at Rs 313.80. The share had ended Wednesday’s session at Rs 311.85.
Tata Power charged up 0.43 per cent to quote at Rs 82.50 as against Rs 82.15 at close yesterday.
Maruti Suzuki drove up 0.41 per cent to trade at Rs 3,342.10 as against Rs 3,328.30 at close overnight.
