BHEL steamed up 2.62 per cent to lead the pack on the BSE on Thursday morning. At 11.20 am the share was trading at Rs 242.80 as against Rs 236.60 at close on Wednesday.
Larsen & Toubro climbed up 1.54 per cent at Rs 1,658.30 as against Rs 1,633.10 at close overnight.
Bharti Airtel dialled gains of 1.32 per cent at Rs 400.05 as against Rs 394.85 at close yesterday.
ITC edged up 0.38 per cent at Rs 327.65. The scrip had closed the previous session at Rs 326.40.
Tata Steel spurted 0.37 per cent to quote at Rs 324.10. The scrip had closed the previous session at Rs 322.90.
The Sensex and the Nifty were trading in the red on heavy selling by funds and retail investors ahead of the expiry of March series derivatives contracts later today. The Sensex was down 250 points at the 27,860 level, while the Nifty declined over 60 points to the 8,470 mark.
