Coal India gained 1.16 per cent at Rs 358 against Rs 353.90 at close overnight.
Wipro edged down a tad to hold gains of 1.14 per cent at Rs 548 against Rs 541.85 at close yesterday.
Tata Motors advanced 0.68 per cent at Rs 331.45 against Rs 329.20 at close on Tuesday.
