BHEL steamed into the lead at close of the session on the BSE on Thursday. At 3.40 pm the share was trading at Rs 257.30, up 4.91 per cent on its earlier close at Rs 245.25.
Hindalco Industries vaulted 4.31 per cent to quote at Rs 153.60. The share had ended the previous session at Rs 147.25.
GAIL (India) sailed up 4.1 per cent at Rs 434.05 as against Rs 416.95 at close on Wednesday.
Maruti Suzuki rode up 3.91 per cent at Rs 3,385.70 as against Rs 3,258.20 at close yesterday.
ICICI Bank was trading at Rs 345.20. This was up 3.82 per cent on its overnight close at Rs 332.50.
