Birla Ericsson Optical has settled a long standing business discord with an overseas supplier by paying $714,000 (about ₹4.65 crore). This would end all legal proceedings launched in different jurisdictions. The discord pertains to a long-term sale and purchase agreement entered into in 2001. Last fiscal, Birla Ericsson reported a profit of ₹12.5 crore on revenues of ₹264 crore. Its profit stood at ₹1.27 crore in Q1 of this fiscal.
