Public sector banks were among the top gainers on the NSE on Thursday. At 11.09 am Bank of Baroda led the pack on the bourse trading at Rs 190.20 against Rs 186.35 at close yesterday. This represented a gain of 2.07 per cent.
Tata Steel spiked up 1.88 per cent to trade at Rs 241.25 against Rs 236.80 at close overnight.
Cairn India sailed up 1.62 per cent to quote at Rs 169.60 against Rs 166.90 at close last evening.
Punjab National Bank traded up 1.48 per cent at Rs 141 against Rs 138.95 at close yesterday.
Vedanta was up 1.38 per cent at Rs 92 against Rs 90.75 at close on Wednesday.
