Bank of Baroda jumped up 5.63 per cent to emerge the top gainer on the NSE at the close on Friday. It ended at Rs 181, up 5.63 per cent on its overnight close at Rs 171.35.
Tata Power was on a roll. It extended its morning gains to trade at Rs 87.30. This represented a gain of 5.56 per cent on its overnight close at Rs 82.70.
UltraTech Cement made rapid ground in the afternoon session to quote at Rs 3,125.80 as against Rs 2,977.45. This was a gain of 4.98 per cent.
Larsen & Toubro traded firm to move up further. It held gains of 4.82 per cent at Rs 1,758.95. The share had closed Thursday’s session at Rs 1,678.05.
IDFC also rode up higher to hold gains of 4.78 per cent at Rs 172.20. The share had ended the previous session at Rs 164.35.
