Shares of Bombay Dyeing fell on weak quarterly results. The stock plunged as much as 4.9 per cent to Rs 248.450, its lowest since July 30.
The company had said in a BSE filing yesterday that its net loss widened to Rs 93.74 crore for the quarter ended June 30 against a net loss of Rs 32.71 crore in the same period a year ago.
Total income during the period under review stood at Rs 410.31 crore against was Rs 638.33 crore in the year-ago quarter.
The company said the results are not comparable with the figures for the previous year’s period due to change in accounting method.
Bombay Dyeing stock had fallen 5.9 per cent this year as of last close.
