BSE metal index was the biggest sectoral loser, shedding about 159 points, in the morning trade on Monday. Only Hindustan Zinc was in the green, that too barely.
Among the biggest losers were Jindal Steel that lost Rs 11.05 at Rs 455, JSW Steel down by Rs 12.35 at Rs 557, Tata Steel down by Rs 7.80 at Rs 355 and Coal India that lost Rs 5.65 at Rs 314.15.
Of the eleven metal index stocks, only Hindustan Zinc was up by 45 paise at Rs 123.80. The metal index was hovering around 9,663.34, a loss of 159.17 points.
