Coal India shed part of its morning gains to drop lower ahead of the close on Friday.
At 3.10 p.m. it held gains of 0.67 per cent to quote at Rs 283.45 on the BSE as against Rs 281.55 at close on Thursday.
On the NSE it held gains of 0.53 per cent to quote at Rs 282.50 as against Rs 281 at close yesterday.
The Government yesterday shelved its plans to sell a 5 per cent stake in the company following the Prime Minister’s talks with the unions last week.
