Coal India shares surged over 3 per cent in morning trade. Media reports said Coal Ministry has lifted the cap on Coal India’s e-auction sales. Analysts say this measure can add incremental operating profits of 7-8 per cent to the company. Company officials were not immediately reachable for comment.
At 9.47 am, the Coal India stock was up 3.26 per cent or Rs 11.70 at Rs 371.10.
