Shares of Coal India hit over 3-year low as Q4 profit missed analysts estimates .
The stock fell as much as 2.9 per cent to Rs 259.50, its lowest since March 21, 2014.
The coal miner posted a 38 per cent fall in consolidated profit in Q4, missing analysts estimates.
Jefferies said it expects Coal India's earnings outlook to be “unexciting” citing lower realisations from its fuel supply agreements and higher wage provisions.
The stock posted its biggest intraday percentage loss since March 14.
The stock was down 10.9 per cent this year as of Monday's close.
