Coal India was the top gainer on the BSE in morning trade on Thursday. At 10.25 am the share was quoting at Rs 369 as against Rs 360.05 at close on Wednesday. This represented a gain of 2.49 per cent.
Tata Motors rode up 0.77 per cent to trade at Rs 509.40. The share had closed the overnight session at Rs 505.50.
Hindustan Unilever was trading at Rs 860.80 as against yesterday’s close at Rs 855. This represented a gain of 0.68 per cent.
Axis Bank gained 0.62 per cent at Rs 562.05 as against Rs 558.60 at close on Wednesday.
M&M rode up 0.33 per cent to trade at Rs 1,255.10 as against Rs 1,251 at close yesterday.
The benchmark indices the Sensex and the Nifty were trading in the red on mixed Asian cues. The Sensex was down nearly 60 points at 27,779, while the Nifty was trading down over 30 points at 8,389.
