Sanghi Industries has decided to expand its capacity from 4.1 mtpa to 8.1 mtpa. The expansion plan will primarily consist of brownfield expansion of 3.3 tpa clinker capacity and 2 mtpa cement capacity within the premises of its existing plant at Sanghipuram, Gujarat, and the satellite grinding unit of 2 mtpa cement capacity. Besides, the plan include a 65-MW thermal power plant adjacent to its existing captive thermal power plant at Sanghipuram. The estimated cost of expansion would be around ₹1,250 crore, of which, around ₹800 crore will be funded through borrowings. The company has received sanctions from banks and financial institutions for funds. Shares of Sanghi Industries gained about a per cent at ₹138.60 on the NSE.

Optiemus Infracom has launched BlackBerry-branded Android phone KEYone Black limited edition in Bangladesh. Its entry into Bangladesh forms part of the licensing agreement entered into with BlackBerry for designing, manufacturing and distributing BlackBerry-branded smartphones in India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal. It had launched Blackberry ‘KEYone’ phones in Sri Lanka in 2017. While Optiemus’ entry into Sri Lanka was in partnership with Softlogic, for Bangladesh, it is in partnership with Union group. Shares of Optiemus Infracom jumped 5 per cent to close at ₹209.05, which is also its all-time high, since its listing on August 8, 2017, on the NSE.

Alfa Transformers has received a repeat order, valued at about ₹3.4 crore, from Uttar Gujarat Vij Company. Alfa Transformers is engaged in manufacturing energy-efficient amorphous distribution transformers. Shares of Alfa Transformers closed at ₹30.35, up 4.84 per cent, on the BSE.
