The board of directors of Fortis Healthcare Holdings Pvt Ltd will meet on May 13 to consider issuance of 150 secured, rated, listed, redeemable, non-convertible debentures (NCDs) of ₹10 lakh each for cash at par totalling ₹15 crore on private placement basis. The board will also consider and take on record the unaudited financial results of the company for the year ended March 31, 2016. Shares of Fortis Healthcare gained 0.75 per cent at ₹168.20 on the NSE.

Hindustan Unilever on Monday said that it has received court approval to convene an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders to seek approval for transferring ₹2,189 crore from general reserves to profit and loss account, and returning the amount to shareholders. The company will convene an EGM on June 30. The court approval to convene the meeting follows an approval from capital markets regulator Securities and Exchange Board of India. HUL intends to return the cash to shareholders as its general reserves were in excess of “current and anticipated needs”, the company had said after releasing its October-December earnings on January 15. Shares of HUL ended down 0.9 per cent at ₹845.50 on the NSE.
