The board of directors of Themis Medicare has informed the exchanges of the incorporation of a joint venture company Carpo Medical Ltd in the United Kingdom as a private limited company. Themis Medicare holds 90 per cent of the share capital and Well Medical Ltd (JV partner based in the UK) holds 10 per cent of the share capital of the JV company. The object of Carpo Medical is to market Themis’ products in the UK and other European countries. Shares of Themis closed at ₹612, against the previous day’s close of ₹614.8, on the NSE.

The board of directors of Prakash Industries on Tuesday allotted 13,77,945 equity shares on conversion of FCCBs. The company has received notices from holders to convert 26 foreign currency convertible bonds (of face value $50,000). Following the conversion, the equity capital of the company rose to ₹143.92 crore from ₹142.54 crore. After hitting a 52-week high of ₹91.80, shares of Prakash Industries slipped about 2 per cent at ₹87.5 over the previous day’s close of ₹89.90.

Seshasayee Paper and Boards on Tuesday said that the Tamil Nadu government has restricted the company from drawing water from Cauvery river. “Due to severe drought conditions and drying of perennial rivers prevailing in Tamil Nadu, the District Revenue officials have advised us to restrict drawal of water from river Cauvery for drinking water purposes only,” the company said in a notification to the exchanges. Seshasayee has appealed to the Revenue officials to permit minimum quantity of water to maintain safe working conditions. “Steps have been taken to step-up ground water resources. Meantime, partial production is maintained,” the company said. Shares of Seshasayee Paper crashed 11 per cent at ₹710.75 on the NSE.
