The Competition Commission of India has tweeted that it finds no appreciable adverse effects on competition in the proposed acquisition of Ruchi Soya by Adani Wilmar. Adani has offered to pay ₹6,000 crore for Ruchi Soya - ₹300 crore more than Baba Ramdev’s Patanjali Ayurved. Ruchi Soya, which has total debt of about ₹12,000 crore, was put under the insolvency resolution process in December 2017. Shareholders will closely monitor the development.
