NTPC was on a roll in the late afternoon session on Thursday. At 3.25 pm it was the top gainer on the NSE, quoting at Rs 153.80. This represented a gain of 5.31 per cent on its overnight close at Rs 146.05.
DLF built gains of 2.64 per cent to trade at Rs 151.35. The share had closed Wednesday’s session at Rs 147.45.
Cairn India flared up 1.78 per cent to quote at Rs 248.90 as against Rs 244.55 at close yesterday.
Jindal Steel moved up 1.37 per cent to trade at Rs 185.40 as against Rs 182.90 at close on Wednesday.
Lupin was trading at Rs 1,686.05. This represented a 1.31 per cent rise on its overnight close at Rs 1,664.30.
