Dr Reddy’s Labs surged nearly 6 per cent to emerge the top gainer on the BSE by the close on Thursday. At 3.24 pm the share was trading at Rs 3,929 against Rs 3,713.20 at close yesterday. This represented a gain of 5.81 per cent.
Cipla rallied further to notch up gains of 5.06 per cent at Rs 711.95 as against its overnight close at Rs 677.65.
ITC sped up 4.62 per cent to trade at Rs 318 against Rs 303.95 at close yesterday.
HDFC was firm but off its morning highs at Rs 1,338.90. This represented a gain of 2.07 per cent on its overnight close at Rs 1,311.70.
Hindustan Unilever also edged down a tad to hold gains of 2.07 per cent at Rs 918.15 against Rs 899.55 at close overnight.
