Elecon secures Rs 33-cr order from BHEL

Elecon Engineering Company Ltd has secured an order of Rs. 33 crore from BHEL for design, manufacture & commissioning of 4 sets of wagon tippler raw materials handling systems project of NMDC steel plant at Nagarnar, Chhattisgarh.

Ceat Ltd has said after a few workmen had a fight on September 30 on account of personal rivalry between them, the workmen resorted to a flash illegal strike. A dialogue is onto resolve the issue and return to normalcy at the earliest.

Clariant Chemicals (India) Limited has executed the share purchase agreement for divestment of its entire holding in its subsidiary company, Chemtreat Composites India Private Limited, for a total consideration of Rs 5.08 crore.

Reliance Power Ltd’s 3,960 MW Tilaiya Ultra Mega Power Project, being developed by its wholly owned subsidiary Jharkhand Integrated Power Limited (JIPL), has got approval for carbon credits from the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). The plant would generate 21.3 million carbon credits during the first ten years valued at over Rs 2000 crore.

JSW Steel Ltd has denied any CBI raid on its premises in Bellary in Karnataka. The CBI team visited the company’s Vijayanagar works today morning and sought certain information about procurement of iron ore. JSW Steel has been procuring iron ore from various sources for its steel production needs and every tonne procured is `accounted for, paid for and in compliance with applicable rules and regulations’ and JSW Steel has and will fully cooperate and provide all the information sought by the authorities concerned in this regard.
