The board of Cosmo Films on Friday approved setting up a new production line for specialised polyester (biaxially-oriented polyethylene terephthalate) film at Aurangabad, Maharashtra. The capacity of the production line will be 36,000 tonnes per annum. This line will require investment of about ₹250 crore, which will come from internal accruals and debt. The line is scheduled to be commissioned by the third quarter of FY2018-19.
