Freshtrop Fruits Ltd has informed the exchanges that unseasonal rainfall has affected its grape export business. The total exports of grapes for the season would be 30-35 per cent lower than last year’s, but there is a significant improvement in the selling price. The unseasonal rainfall will not have any significant impact on the profit of the company for 2014-15. The effect will be there in Q1 of 2015-16, but this could be mitigated by better price realisation, the company added. Shares of Freshtrop slumped 4.95 per cent to ₹92.10 on the BSE.
