Wipro held on to its position as the top gainer on the markets in late session on Monday. At the close it was trading at Rs 584.20 on the NSE, up 5.25 per cent on its previous week’s close at Rs 555.05.
GAIL (India) also maintained its firm morning trend to quote at Rs 440.55. This was a gain of 3.67 per cent on its previous week's close at Rs 424.95.
Ambuja Cement shot up 3.11 per cent to end the day at Rs 246.80 as against Friday’s close at Rs 239.35.
Axis Bank was up 2.75 per cent at Rs 528.95. The share closed Friday's session at Rs 514.80.
BHEL steamed up 2.63 per cent at Rs 281.05 as against Rs 273.85 previously.
