Wipro was broadly firm in the Monday morning session. At 11.19 am it was trading at Rs 591.20 on the NSE, up 6.51 per cent on last week’s close at Rs 555.05. The company last week announced that it had posted an 8.8 per cent increase in net profit during the December quarter.
GAIL (India) sailed up 4.54 per cent to quote at Rs 444.25 as against Rs 424.95 at close on Friday.
Axis Bank traded up 2.43 per cent to quote at Rs 527.30. The share had closed the previous session at Rs 514.80.
IDFC built gains of 2.37 per cent to trade at Rs 170.30 as against Rs 166.35 at close in the previous week.
HCL Technologies was up 2.18 per cent at Rs 1,674.80 as against Rs 1,639 at close last week.
