GE Power India on Wednesday said it had won a ₹142-crore order from NTPC for supply and installation of emission control equipment. This is the first such large project awarded by NTPC to install low NOx (nitrogen oxide) combustion technology at its thermal power plant fleet, GEPIL said in a statement to the exchanges. The low NOx combustion system will be delivered in a phased manner over a period of over 30 months, it added. Shares of GE Power India gained 2.38 per cent at ₹870.60 on the BSE, but those of NTPC slipped 0.99 per cent at ₹134.50.
