Gillette India will not be acting as the distributor of Duracell batteries from November 30. In a notification to the stock exchanges, Gillette India said it has been acting as an authorised distributor of Duracell batteries following an agreement with its affiliate company Procter & Gamble International Operations S.A. As the latter has decided to divest the business of Duracell globally, it has decided to terminate the distributor arrangement entered into with the company. Shares of Gillette closed at ₹4,581.85 on the NSE, as against Tuesday’s close of ₹4,595.
