Shares of GM Breweries may remain in demand on Friday, as its shares turn ex-bonus on Monday. Those wishing to receive bonus shares of the breweries and distilleries major will have to buy the shares by Friday, as the company has fixed May 31 as record date.
GM Breweries is rewarding its shareholders with a 1:4 bonus issue (one share for every four held). About 9,660 retail investors hold 16.26 per cent stake in the company while four HNIs own 3.05 per cent.
