Godman Sachs Singapore Pte on Wednesday bought 28 lakh shares of Housing Development & Infrastructure Ltd (HDIL) at an average price of ₹83.9, according to NSE bulk deal data. The sellers’ identity was not known. GS already owns 43.48 lakh shares (or 1 per cent stake) in HDIL. In all, 166 foreign portfolio investors, including Vanguard, DB International, Orbis, Credit Suisse, Merrill Lynch and Doric Asia Pacific Fund, own 44.86 per cent stake in HDIL.
