The annual shutdown of Gujarat State Fertilizers & Chemicals’ ammonia-IV plant of the Baroda unit will start from April 13 and go on till June 1. As a result, the Urea-II plant will also undergo shutdown due to non-availability of CO2 gas which is a byproduct of the ammonia-IV plant. A few other connected plants, including Caprolactam-I, AS-II and SA-II, will also be stopped for planned maintenance, the company said in a statement to the exchanges. GSFC has made alternative arrangements to minimise production losses of various fertilisers & industrial products and also to ensure continuous supply of fertiliser products to consumers from its production facilities at the Sikka unit. Shares of GSFC closed at ₹104.15, up 0.75 per cent, on the NSE.
