Shares of Hatsun Agro surged nearly 3 per cent in early trade on Thursday after the board approved raising ₹900 crore through a rights issue.
Hatsun Agro shares opened at Rs 885 and rose to Rs 898 in intra-day trade. At about 11.25 am, the shares were trading at Rs 888.45, up Rs 15.35 or 1.76 per cent.
The board of directors has also constituted a rights issue committee to decide the terms and conditions of the rights issue, including the nature of security, size, price, timing, entitlement ratio, record date and other matters related to the rights issue.
