HCL Technologies gained 2.18 per cent to emerge the top gainer on the NSE on Tuesday morning. At 10.45 am it was trading at Rs 952.40, as against Rs 932.05 at close on Monday.
Bajaj Auto was also trading on firm ground and had notched up gains of 1.68 per cent at Rs 2,070.60. The scrip had closed the previous session at Rs 2,036.40.
Bank of Baroda traded up 1.48 per cent at Rs 171 as against Rs 168.50 at close yesterday.
GAIL (India) was also buoyant ahead of the monetary policy announcement to be made by the RBI later today. It was trading at Rs 405.70, as against Rs 399.90 at close overnight. This represented a gain of 1.45 per cent.
Tech Mahindra was the other IT stock in the limelight, notching up gains of 1.13 per cent to trade at Rs 650.65. The share had closed yesterday’s session at Rs 643.35.
