HDFC extended its morning rally to hold gains of 7.9 per cent near the close on the BSE on Thursday. At 2.44 pm the share was trading at Rs 1,189.50 against Rs 1,102.45 at close overnight.
Vedanta held firm to keep gains of 6.31 per cent at Rs 90.95 against Rs 85.55 at close yesterday.
Cipla made further gains to trade at Rs 664.3 against Rs 636.05 at close yesterday. This was a gain of 4.44 per cent.
Lupin edged up 3.5 per cent at Rs 1,875.20 against Rs 1,811.80 at close on Wednesday.
ONGC flared up 3.4 per cent at Rs 232.60 against Rs 224.95 previously.
