HDFC built on its morning gains to stay ahead of the pack on the BSE near the close on Monday. At 2.45 pm the share held gains of 4.68 per cent at Rs 1,120.35. The stock had ended the previous week at Rs 1,070.25.
Coal India also held firm to trade at Rs 376.55. This represented a gain of 3.07 per cent on the share’s previous close at Rs 365.35.
ONGC rode up further to hold gains of 2.39 per cent at Rs 345. The share had closed the previous session at Rs 336.95.
BHEL edged lower to hold gains of 0.81 per cent at Rs 249. The share had closed Friday’s session at Rs 247.
HDFC Bank moved up 0.80 per cent at Rs 939.85. The share had ended Friday’s session at Rs 932.35.
