HDFC maintained its firm undertone to stay ahead of the pack on the BSE on Friday. At 10.49 am the share was trading at Rs 1,277.40 as against Rs 1,248.90. This was a gain of 2.28 per cent.
Cipla perked up to trade at Rs 674.45. This represented a gain of 1.89 per cent on its overnight close at Rs 661.95.
Bharti Airtel extended its firm trend on the markets to quote at Rs 369.20. This was a gain of 1.60 per cent on its overnight close at Rs 363.40.
ITC edged up 0.88 per cent at Rs 371.90. The share had closed the previous session at Rs 368.65.
Dr Reddy’s Labs was the other pharma major among the top gainers. It was trading at Rs 3,100, up 0.74 per cent on its overnight close at Rs 3,077.15.
