HDFC was firm but off its morning highs in late trading on the BSE on Monday. At 2.39 pm the share was trading at Rs 1,164.55 against Rs 1,142.10 at close on Friday. This was a gain of 1.97 per cent.
Tata Motors also trimmed most of its early gains to trade at Rs 324.50. This was a gain of 0.51 per cent on its previous close at Rs 322.85.
Cipla also edged lower to quote at Rs 652. This was a gain of 0.4 per cent on its previous close at Rs 649.40.
Maruti Suzuki came off its morning levels to trade almost flat at Rs 4,077.35 against Rs 4,069.20 at close on Friday. This was a gain of 0.20 per cent.
ONGC was little changed at Rs 225.7 against Rs 225.6 at close overnight.
