HDFC built up gains of 1.25 per cent to lead the pack on the BSE on Friday morning. At 10.55 am it was trading at Rs 1,349.60 as against Rs 1,332.95 at close on Thursday. ICICI Bank rode up 0.34 per cent to quote at Rs 339.25. The share had closed the previous session at Rs 338.10.
NTPC steamed up 0.31 per cent at Rs 160 as against Rs 159.50 at close yesterday.
Coal India edged up 0.18 per cent at Rs 365.40. The share had closed Thursday’s session at Rs 364.75.
The Sensex and the Nifty were trading in the red after shedding their morning gains. The Sensex shot up over 250 points to hit the 29,000 mark in early trade, before retreating to hover above the 28,850 level, while the Nifty moved up over 70 points to the 8,850 mark, before settling lower at the 8,750 level.
