Hero MotoCorp surged over 3 per cent on the bourses today to touch an all-time high after the company reported an 18.61 per cent jump in August sales to 5,03,654 units.
The stock, which opened the day on a robust note, rose further by 3.56 per cent to touch a lifetime high of Rs 2,120.80 on the BSE. On a similar note, the scrip went up by 3.4 per cent to touch a lifetime high of Rs 2,121.65 on the NSE.
The two-wheeler manufacturer yesterday reported an 18.61 per cent jump in August sales to 5,03,654 units against 4,24,617 units sold in the corresponding month last year.
“The cumulative sales of Hero MotoCorp between April and August this year have now crossed the 25 lakh units milestone, a growth of 21 per cent over 20,86,342 units sold in the same period last year,” the company said.
Meanwhile, the BSE benchmark Sensex, too, was trading higher by 158.48 points at 16,835.23 at 10.35 am.
