Metal shares were the predominant gainers on the markets on Tuesday morning. At 11.50 am, Hindalco Industries, trading at Rs 132.65, led the pack on the NSE. This represented a gain of 4.61 per cent on its overnight close at Rs 126.80.
Dr Reddy’s Labs was also on a firm wicket, posting gains of 3.29 per cent at Rs 3,422.10. The share had ended the previous session at Rs 3,313.
Sesa Sterlite gained 2.96 per cent at Rs 191 as against Rs 185.50 at close yesterday.
Tata Motors rode up 2.88 per cent at Rs 572.95. The share had ended the overnight session at Rs 556.90.
Cairn India was trading at Rs 224.05, up 2.78 per cent on its previous close at Rs 218.
