Metal stocks Hindalco Industries and Sesa Sterlite held firm to extend their gains by the close on Tuesday. At 3.35 pm Hindalco Industries held gains of 5.36 per cent at Rs 133.70. The share had ended the overnight session at Rs 126.90.
Sesa Sterlite spurted 4.37 per cent at Rs 193.60 as against Rs 185.50 at close on Monday.
Dr Reddy’s Labs extended its firm run on the bourse to build up gains of 3.62 per cent at Rs 3,434 as against Rs 3,313.95 at close on Monday.
HDFC gained 2.52 per cent at Rs 1,338.55. The share had ended yesterday’s session at Rs 1,305.70.
Axis Bank traded up 2.42 per cent at Rs 582.60 as against Rs 568.85 at close on Monday.
