Hindalco Industries rallied further to notch up gains of 3.55 per cent on the BSE on Wednesday. At 3.20 pm it was trading at Rs 151.55 as against Rs 146.35 at close on Tuesday.
Tata Power charged up 3.15 per cent at Rs 90.05. The share had closed the previous session at Rs 87.30.
Sesa Sterlite also maintained its firm trend to build on its morning gains. It was trading at Rs 216.95. This represented a gain of 3.04 per cent on its overnight close at Rs 210.55.
Coal India spurted 2.55 per cent at Rs 365.80 as against Rs 356.70 at close yesterday.
ONGC rode up further to hold gains of 2.3 per cent at Rs 367.50. The share had ended the previous session at Rs 359.25.
The benchmark indices the BSE Sensex and the NSE Nifty recovered to trade in mildly positive territory ahead of the close. In a choppy session, the Sensex gained 30 points to reclaim the 29,000-level, while the Nifty was hovering around the 8,760 level.
