Hindalco Industries emerged the top gainer on the NSE by the close on Monday. The share finished the day at Rs 78.10, against Rs 75.90 at close on Friday. This was a gain of 2.90 per cent.
Power Grid Corporation charged up 2.28 per cent at Rs 136.55. The share had closed the previous session at Rs 133.50.
Axis Bank extended its morning rally to hold gains of 2.04 per cent at Rs 528 against Rs 517.45 at close last week.
Maruti Suzuki held firm to notch up gains of 2.03 per cent at Rs 4,490.25 against Rs 4,400.85 at close last week.
GAIL sailed up 1.36 per cent to quote at Rs 291.15 against Rs 287.25 at close previously.
