Hindalco Industries extended its morning rally to notch up gains of 7.62 per cent on the BSE at the close on Wednesday. The scrip closed the session at Rs 78.35 against Rs 72.80 at close yesterday.
Vedanta was firm but off its early highs at Rs 99.65 against Rs 93.45 at close yesterday. This represented a gain of 6.63 per cent.
NTPC steamed up 5.59 per cent to trade at Rs 120.95 against Rs 114.55 at close yesterday.
Tata Steel edged up further to hold gains of 4.37 per cent at Rs 238.8 against Rs 228.80 at close overnight.
Tata Motors sped up 3.92 per cent to quote at Rs 344.70 against Rs 331.70 at close yesterday.
