HSBC Global Investment Funds today sold five lakh shares of batteries and flashlights maker Eveready Industries India for a little over Rs one crore through open market transactions.
According to bulk data available with stock exchanges, HSBC Global Investment Fund Mauritius Ltd offloaded five lakh shares of the maker of batteries and flashlights for Rs 20.49 apiece, valuing the deal to Rs 1.02 crore.
However, the buyer of the shares could not be ascertained.
As of June quarter, HSBC Global Investment Funds (Mauritius) Ltd held 5.57 per cent stake in Eveready Industries.
Earlier this week, HSBC Global Investment A/C Indian Equity Fund had sold five lakh shares of Eveready Industries for Rs 1.03 crore.
Shares of the company today closed at Rs 20.30 apiece on the BSE, down 1.22 per cent from the previous close.
