Hindustan Unilever traded firm to build on its morning gains in late trading on the BSE on Wednesday. At 3.05 pm the share was trading at Rs 802.30, up 3.50 per cent on its overnight close at Rs 775.15.
Reliance Industries also maintained its uptrend to hold gains of 2.02 per cent at Rs 853 as against Rs 836.10 at close yesterday.
Falling global oil prices and the political crisis in Greece kept the markets under pressure again today. The Sensex had lost over a 100 points by late trading, while the NSE had declined by about 40 points.
NTPC was trading firm, holding gains of 1.90 per cent at Rs 142.15 as against Rs 139.50 at close overnight.
ONGC extended its gains to quote at Rs 338.25, up 1.74 per cent on its previous close at Rs 332.45.
M&M rode up 1.06 per cent to quote at Rs 1,224 as against Rs 1,211.15 at close yesterday.
