Hindustan Unilever resumed its recent uptrend on the BSE on Friday. At 11.09 am it was the top gainer on the bourse, trading at Rs 841.35, a gain of 3.23 per cent. The stock had ended the previous session at Rs 815.05.
Cipla, Sun Pharma and Dr Reddy’s were the three pharma shares among the top gainers. Cipla was trading at Rs 636 with gains of 2.92 per cent on its overnight close at Rs 617.95.
Dr Reddy’s Labs was quoting at Rs 3,133, representing a gain of 2.21 per cent on Thursday’s close at Rs 3,065.40.
Tata Motors also retained its firm trend to hold gains of 2.15 per cent. The share was quoting at Rs 523.20 as against Rs 512.20 at close overnight.
Sun Pharma rose 2.09 per cent to trade at Rs 834.50. The share had closed the overnight session at Rs 817.40.
Meanwhile the Sensex and the Nifty were trading higher on value-buying in blue-chips. The Sensex was approaching the 27,400-mark with gains of over 100 points, while the Nifty was within sight of the 8,300-level with gains of over 30 points.
