FTSE Russell has added ICICI Prudential, UPL Ltd, Hindalco Industries, LIC Housing Finance and Piramal Enterprises to its large cap index.
The changes take effect from March 20.
Shares of ICICI Prudential Life hit their 52-week high of Rs 370 today in early trade. At about 11 am, the stock was up 1.06 per cent or Rs 3.85 at Rs 366.25 on the NSE.
Hindalco was quoting at Rs 191.85, up 1.37 per cent or Rs 2.60. In early trade, it had jumped over 2 per cent to Rs 196.15.
Piramal Enterprises was trading 0.24 per cent higher or Rs 4.35 at Rs 1,843.05. The stock hit a high of Rs 1,863.40 in morning trade.
LIC Housing was up 0.39 per cent or Rs 2.20 at Rs 563.30. The stock had a high of Rs 567.30 in morning trade.
After hitting a high of Rs 725, the stock of UPL Ltd slipped into red to quote 0.24 per cent lower at Rs 715.60. On Wednesday, the stock had closed at Rs 717.35.
Exclusion
The index will exclude GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare and Divi's Laboratories.
GSK Consumer was trading up 0.73 per cent or Rs 36.85 at Rs 5,116.15.
Divi's Laboratories was up 0.48 per cent or Rs 3.65 at Rs 768.50 on the NSE.
