Sun Pharma Industries rose 2.20 per cent to trade at Rs 898.40 against Rs 879.05 at close overnight.
Asian Paints was up 2.18 per cent at Rs 893.40. The share had closed the previous session at Rs 874.35.
Bharti Airtel rode up 2.16 per cent at Rs 393.10 against Rs 384.80 at close yesterday.
Vedanta advanced 1.98 per cent to trade at Rs 105.45 against Rs 103.40 at close on Thursday.
