The workers union at Indian Metals & Ferro Alloys’ Sukinda and Mahagiri mines have ceased work from this morning after raising certain demands. “We are studying their demands and shall look to resolve the situation at the earliest,” the company said in a notice to the bourses.
“There is adequate stock of chrome ore at our plant sites and we do not anticipate any disruption in production,” it added further. Shares of Indian Metals slumped 4.48 per cent at ₹318.45 on the BSE.
