Shares of Indraprastha Gas today rose over 11.2 per cent to a record high of Rs 577.30.
The company’s shares surged after the Supreme Court upheld a temporary ban on the sale of large diesel cars in New Delhi to curb air pollution.
According to media reports, the Supreme Court has asked the Oil Ministry to set up 104 new CNG pumps in the National Capital Region.
Investors expect the company to benefit from the expected switch to CNG cars.
